How Shopify’s E-commerce Automation Makes Scaling Less Scary

Shopify Flow lets you create triggers that automate run-of-the-mill tasks like inventory management and SKU standardization. For example, Flow will automatically publish and unpublish certain SKUs based on stock—so if you run out of Item X, voila! Item X is no longer available for purchase.
Flow lets you automatically edit your checkout flow based on the buying habits of each customer that comes knocking at your e-door. You can turn discount codes on and off based on payment method or discount parameters, or tailor payment method availability based on customer tags.
Which brings us to our favorite feature…
Shopify Flow allows you to automatically tag (and cancel!) risky orders based on parameters that you set based on past experience with customer behaviors.
But, more importantly (for marketing purposes), you can tag customers that have favorable purchasing habits so that you can successfully identify and retarget them with advertising, offers, and other enticements. For instance, Flow allows you to identify high-AOV customers and provide them VIP treatment with the click of a button.
You can tag customers based on coupon code use or track discounts, and follow a customer’s refund journey.
