The CTC Creative Services Team is a group of visionaries who bring the spirit of joy, authenticity, and data-driven insights to the content, web development, and web optimization we develop for our clients. We’re podcast-obsessed, caffeine lovers, dog owners, and we bring our own passion, insights, and dreams to our work. We’re the type of people who are struck by meaningful ideas in the middle of the night and can’t wait to share them around the conference table the next morning.

Our ideal eCommerce Manager (ECM) has a knack for partnership and the drive to see a project through to the end. A collaborative self-starter, the ECM enables our team to think holistically about the entire customer journey, you’re the subject matter expert that will seamlessly tie our client entrepreneur’s objectives to the soul and spirit of each brand, and make that connection for each and every current or potential customer. You’re bought in to the fact that we’re setting the bar for evolved perspectives on the ecommerce ecosystem, from strategy, ideation, and development through to execution and deployment, and you’re stoked to be an integral part of it.

Strategize | Timing is everything, or so they say. For us, it’s the difference between success and missing the mark. Our existing and future clients have all kinds of customers and it’s up to us as a digital marketing agency to serve the right content, at the right time, in the right order. The ECM develops and implements commerce strategies in a way that positively affects conversion and performance. This means creating thoughtful calendars outlining website development next steps to include uploads and landing page development. When it comes to strategies and timelines, clear is kind.

Collaborate | Quickly pull together details from multiple platforms, projects, people, and places and then, partner with developers to improve website speed, PPC, SEO, display, affiliates, email marketing and social media. To sum it all up: collaborate. The ECM is all about collecting information, making educated decisions, and partnering with the right people to execute.

Connect | As ECM, it’s up to you to connect the dots for our consumers online. Our clients have amazing products for consumers worldwide, but the connection between window shopping online and converting someone into a loyal customer for the long haul are the dots that the ECM researches, analyzes, strategizes, and reports on. The ECM will be relied upon to optimize existing inventory systems and to craft enthralling, convertible content for PDPs.

Anticipate | Anticipating the needs of CTC wins over reacting to the needs of CTC, every time. We extend the same reverence to our client entrepreneurs; it’s our duty. The ECM assess, suggests, selects, and / or manages third party apps, potential ESP vendors, and existing or future CMS vendors to streamline success. And when we say success, we don’t mean luck. We mean looking at the data, online activity, merch reports, sales, conversion, A/B testing, and optimizing online presence on mobile and desktop. As the ECM we’re depending on you to be forward thinking and mindful in approach considering timeline, questions, and short and long term solutions. Let’s get after it online!

About You:

We hire for effort and interest at CTC and have found our successful eCommerce Managers encompass:

  • 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience using / managing Shopify Plus
  • Experience managing a team of marketers
  • Experience developing and overseeing digital marketing strategies
  • Strong understanding of web design and web analysis
  • Understanding of, and experience in: UX, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of digital marketing channels such as PPC, SEO, social media display, and affiliate marketing channels
  • Knowledge of attribution modeling, website speed optimization, A/B testing, conversion management, sales journey optimization, traffic analysis, and reporting tools
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, or any related field

Based out of the “CTC” office in Orange County, California, the CTC Content Team is a small group of talented production creatives who bring the spirit of joy, authenticity, and storytelling to the content we create for our clients. We’re athletes, surfers, caffeine lovers, and dog owners, and we bring our own passion, insights, and dreams to our work. We’re the type of people who are struck by creative ideas in the middle of the night and can’t wait to share them.

The Content Director is the creative quarterback for a group of passionate storytellers. Working closely with the VP of Creative Services, you will successfully ideate, develop, pitch, execute and measure the performance for a creative vision in support of a brand’s objectives. Your ability to define and guide a vision from concept through completion is key, even among shifting expectations and deadlines. In your huddle, you’ll have the support of an all-star line-up of pre-production players and post-production veterans. Your unique skillset allows you to pitch clients, orchestrate talent, inspire fellow creatives, and anchor your support team as they unite around a common vision of meaningful storytelling. All of this will reflect the revenue growth of the team - the core metric to measure your success in the role.

Elevate | You are essential to curating the customer journey through content storytelling. You inspire creatives to buy into the core creative vision approved by the brand. You’ll be sourcing new ways to elevate the content we deliver through a blend of Facebook dashboard data geeking and the creative resources (humans) available to you.

Execute | You are responsible for the sustainable growth of the content team. You manage a team of creators, innovators, and storytellers, and you ensure that your team has all the tools, resources, and skills necessary to do their jobs to the fullest. You’re as comfortable running and gunning in a team of 2 as you are leading a crew of 20 through a fast-paced production.

Orchestrate | Your awareness of essential players brings creative projects to life as you bring people together and develop team collaboration. You’re comfortable commanding a room without demanding the room.

Innovate | You love “winning” for brands and continue to innovate the formats, methods, aesthetics and creative potential as you deepen client relationships and drive overall success. You use data to inform the creative decision making process and refine your process as more data becomes available.

About You:

We hire for effort and interest at CTC and have found our successful Content Directors encompass:

  • 3 - 5 years creative agency and/or production company experience
  • 3 - 5 years experience as a technical editor, director of photography, or producer
  • Must be fluent with the Google Suite, FTP platforms, PM tools, and Mac computers
  • Required experience with digital content marketing and eCommerce
  • Ability to articulate creative concepts to non-creative brands
  • Advanced management of creative P&Ls and budgets
  • Strong project management and resource management skills
  • Required management and leadership skills within a creative company
  • Bonus: former founder or owner of a production company
