At Common Thread Collective, we don't leave client success up to chance. Instead, we strategically engineer it using the Prophit System. This integrated approach unifies forecasting, marketing calendars, ad budgeting, creative strategies, and merchandising into a cohesive plan.

By aligning every aspect of a brand’s growth ensures we can deliver predictable, profitable growth and meet revenue targets while maintaining strong margins.

The Numbers: How Did We Perform?

May 2025 CTC Client Report Card

Each month, we aggregate performance data from approximately 60 clients to measure our forecasting accuracy across key metrics: revenue, spend, and contribution margin.

For May, here’s our report card:
  • Revenue: -2.14% behind forecast
  • Spend: -5.83% behind forecast
  • Contribution Margin: +4.68% ahead of forecast

Overall, we're pleased with our forecasting accuracy … each metric remained within our target range of +/- 10%.

This isn’t luck. It’s the outcome of disciplined, data-backed planning and execution.

At Common Thread Collective, our Growth Strategy team works across 60+ brands doing between 10-150M in revenue, helping them build plans that aren’t just aspirational, but executable.

Strategic Insights & Tactical Responses

Beyond numbers, our commitment involves proactively responding to data insights. Here are key tactics our growth strategists leveraged in May:

1. Strategic Price Testing:

To address revenue shortfalls, we successfully tested price increases across select product lines. This boosted average order value significantly without negatively impacting conversion rates, helping close the revenue gap.

2. Short, Deep Discounting:

One effective tactic was a dramatic 60% off flash sale lasting just 10 minutes. This strategy rapidly increased order volume, offsetting margin pressure and resulting in our client's strongest single-day contribution margin for the month.

3. Channel Accountability & Spend Optimization:

Clear channel-level targets allowed swift reallocations, focusing spend where performance aligned most closely with business goals. This ensured efficient use of budget and enhanced overall profitability.

4. Personalized Customer Segmentation:

We leveraged precise segmentation to address specific revenue shortfalls, crafting targeted email and SMS campaigns. Tailored messaging and strategic offers effectively re-engaged returning customers and drove meaningful results.

Key Takeaway for June

While disciplined spending is critical, it’s equally essential to seize growth opportunities aggressively. Our primary focus moving into June is ensuring no potential revenue is left untapped. We aim to maintain our disciplined approach while also pressing the advantage in areas exceeding expectations.

Stay tuned next month, we'll dive deeper with our growth strategists to share more detailed, actionable insights.
