On September 29, 2026, Meta announced Muse for Small Business, an AI agent that connects directly to Meta ad accounts, Shopify stores, Instagram analytics, and more than a dozen third-party tools including Klaviyo and Canva. For ecommerce brands running Meta Ads, this means a single AI can now access your campaign data, draft ad copy, and surface marketing recommendations across all your connected platforms, with no manual sync required after the initial account link.
Muse gives your Meta ad account a persistent AI layer that understands your brand, your products, and your customer base. It drafts campaigns, flags performance issues, and makes targeting recommendations using live data from your connected Shopify store and email platform. For ecommerce brands with lean teams spending significant budgets on Meta, this is the first automation tool that works across the full marketing stack rather than just inside Ad Manager.

Muse connects through an in-app connector system. Link your Instagram Professional account, Facebook Page, and Meta ad account first. Then add the Shopify connector in Muse settings, which gives it access to your product catalog, store analytics, and customer records. Klaviyo and Canva connectors are also available at launch, with more integrations planned through Q4 2026 and into 2027.
Once connected, Muse operates as a task-completing agent. Ask it to draft a campaign for a new product launch and it will pull product images from Shopify, generate copy based on past top-performing Meta ads in your account, and recommend an audience based on your purchase history. You review and approve before anything goes live. Muse does not launch campaigns or move budget autonomously in the current version.
On September 26, 2026, Meta announced that Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses with Muse can now complete purchases via Shop Pay, hands-free. A shopper points their glasses at a product, asks Muse to buy it, and the transaction processes through Shop Pay without touching a phone. This connects automatically to every Shopify store with Shop Pay active, with no additional setup required from the brand beyond enabling Shop Pay.
Ray-Ban Meta Audio ships October 13, 2026. Meta Adventurer ships October 23, 2026. By the time Black Friday traffic peaks, a subset of consumers will be purchasing via AI agent on wearables. Brands without Shop Pay enabled or with product listings that AI cannot clearly parse will be invisible to this channel from launch day.
In the current version, no. Muse drafts, recommends, and surfaces insights, but does not autonomously launch campaigns or shift budgets without human approval. It functions like a well-briefed media buyer who works in real time and requires no context catch-up, not like a fully autonomous agent.
That said, Meta has publicly stated a goal of full ad creation and targeting automation by the end of 2026. Muse for Small Business is the first consumer-facing step in that direction. Brands that connect their data now and train Muse on their catalog, voice, and audience will have a structural advantage when the automation goes deeper in 2027.

Muse is free for most core functions, per Meta's September 29, 2026 launch announcement. The Shopify, Klaviyo, and Canva connectors are included in the free tier. Meta has not announced pricing for advanced or enterprise tiers.
All Shopify stores can connect via the Muse connector in app settings. There is no minimum plan or revenue threshold listed in the launch details. Shop Pay must be enabled separately for AI glasses purchasing to work.
In the current version, no. Muse drafts and recommends but does not autonomously launch campaigns or adjust budgets. You review and approve before anything goes live. Meta has indicated fuller automation is planned for late 2026 and into 2027.
Ray-Ban Meta Audio ships October 13, 2026. Meta Adventurer ships October 23, 2026. Both support Muse-powered Shop Pay purchasing, allowing shoppers to buy products hands-free by pointing their glasses at any item and instructing Muse to complete the purchase.
